Wakefield Fire Department

Welcome to the official website of Wakefield Fire Department

Established in 1894, the Wakefield Fire Department is home to Engine Co 1, Special Hazards 2, Boat 2, The Union Fire District Dive Recovery Team, and Future home to Engine Co 2 (June 2010).

Engine 1 is a 1985 Seagrave 1250gpm Class A pumper.

Special Hazards 2 is a 2005 Ford F350 enclosed utility vehicle.

Boat 2, a 18' Boston Whaler with a 25hp Johnson outboard motor is used to support the dive team in its recovery efforts.
